The Guild met on the May 21. The Secretary read out the minutes of the last meeting which were accepted by the members. The treasurer gave her financial report and Barbara Priest read out the menu for the Federation lunch which will be on July 28, at the Mill Alveley. Marion Knowles gave a report on the rambling group; Joan Johnson led the last walk to swindon and then on to the green Man for a very good lunch. The next walk will be led by Margaret Jones, we will meet on the car park at 11am on June 3. The chairman then introduced John Sparry who gave a most interesting talk on the lives and work of the Afghanistan people. The next meeting will be on June 18, when the speaker will be Mr Sturdy, who will be giving a talk on Peru the land of the Incas'. New members and visitors will always be made welcome we meet at the church of Ascension hall on the 3rd Wednesday of the month.
