THE chairman Mrs H Cartwright welcomed members and the entertainer Mr B Broadfield to the meeting.
The social secretary gave details of the outing to Chester on June 3.
On July 1, we shall be visiting Snowhill Lavender fields and stew on the word Doreen Cooke has also arranged a given trip with afternoon tea on September 2.
Mr Broadfield who previously worked in a circus then entertained us with his life history of working in such an interesting occupation.
Mrs Marjory Taylor thanked him for such an interesting and amusing talk.
The afternoon closed following tea and biscuits served by members.
