CHILDREN can swim for free across Dudley borough over the Easter school holidays.

Anyone who lives in the borough and is aged 16 or under can take advantage of the offer at the Crystal, Duncan Edwards and Halesowen leisure centres from April 1 to 16.

Family fun disability swims, which include the free swimming offer, will be held at Duncan Edwards Leisure Centre on Wednesday April 5 and 12 from 3.10 to 5pm, at Crystal Leisure Centre on Friday April 7 and 14 from 2 to 4pm, and at Halesowen Leisure Centre on Saturday April 1, 8 and 15 from 2.30 to 3.45pm.

Stourbridge’s Crystal Leisure Centre will also be offering late family swimming sessions on Tuesday April 4 and 11, from 5 to 8pm.

Helen Martin, Dudley Council's director of regeneration and enterprise, said: "Swimming is a great way for children to be active during the school holidays and the free-swimming offer is very popular with families.

"We are reminding people that numbers are limited, and entry will be on a first come first served basis."

Young people must be supervised by a responsible adult aged 18 or over, and those who have not previously registered must do so in advance of their visit.
