A MAN killed in an horrific road smash near Hagley has been named as Casson Pritchard from Brierley Hill.
The 23-year-old died on Monday (June 16) in a smash on the A491 Hagley to Bromsgrove road on Monday June 16.
He was a front seat passenger in a black Ford Focus - which had been attempting to overtake a motorbike when the car mounted a kerb and flipped over several times before coming to rest on its roof in a layby.
Casson was thrown from the vehicle and was treated by police and paramedics - but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened at about 10pm on the Lydiate Ash-bound carriageway.
A 20-year-old Brierley Hill man, who was the driver of the car, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
