Music lovers are in for a treat at the first Stourbridge Rugby Club music and food festival this weekend.

On Saturday May 13, Stourton Park on Bridgnorth Road is the setting for the festival featuring a host of top tribute bands and DJ’s supported by Black Country radio in our huge marquee.

Outside there will be plenty of entertainment for the children, a dozen of the region's finest street food vendors and a licensed bar will be open all day alongside a cocktail bar and a Green Duck Brewery can bar.

The fun starts at midday with the Supernova covers band followed by Lolly Parton is Dolly Parton, Duran Duran Experience, Elvis by Michael Clews, ABBA tribute Masters of the Scene, DJ Richie Morse then takes us up to the evening set which features Bhangra Smash Up, Queen Reloaded, Killerstream covers  with Word of Mouth DJ Stuart Ojelay bringing the evening to a close.

Amongst the array of streetfood will be Kitsch Kitchen, Jammin Pizza, The Pasty Man, Meaty Greeks, B.J’s Beans, Ranv’s Rasoi, Betty’s Waffle Co., Midland Super Cream, Notty Bites, Big Mouths Kitchen and Café No. 5 of Kinver. 

During the course of the eleven hours of fun the club will also be supporting charity partners for the day Birmingham Children's Hospital and blood cancer charity DKMS.

There will be no visitor parking on the site so the club has, in conjunction with Prospect Coaches, organised a free Shuttlebus to and from the site which will run during the day from 11.20am, starting opposite the Seven Stars on Brook Road and stopping at the following locations: Worcester Street (The Plough and The Waggon) Stourbridge Bus Station, The Royal Exchange on Enville Street and Harris Butchers in Wollaston village!
