PRETTY little misses are being invited to try out for the crown in this year's Stourbridge Carnival Princess competition.
The popular event has been going strong for many years and last year saw a record number of aspiring princesses glamming it up in the hope of walking away with the coveted crown.
This year potential princesses are invited to turn up in their best frocks on carnival day - Sunday July 6, at 10.15am.
Judging starts at 10.30am - and organisers will be looking for a confident little miss aged between four and ten to take on the Royal role.
Carnival organiser David Harcourt said: "We're looking for someone pleasant and talkative and interested in representing the town in the odd event here or there."
This year, goody bags will be given to everyone taking part - and there is a cash prize is up for grabs for the winner.
The lucky youngster will also receive a goody bag full of gifts and will be treated like Royalty for the rest of the day.
Last year's event attracted 40 entrants - and saw eight-year-old Taylor Ray-Evans crowned princess, with five-year-old Ellie Mai Stanton voted runner-up.
