A SOCIAL club in Norton is getting set to celebrate opening new facilities after two years of fundraising.
The club on Osmaston Road is hosting an event on Saturday June 28 to unveil a new patio and garden area.
The celebrations will include a barbecue and live entertainment plus a raffle with a flat screen TV as top prize.
Norton Social Club was founded in 1910 and currently has around 200 members although fresh faces are always welcome, membership application forms will be available at the official patio opening, which starts at 7.30pm.
The club offers a range of facilities including snooker, darts, a TV lounge and a well stocked bar selling a variety of real ales.
