DUDLEY Kingswinford RFC will organise some big training sessions in order to keep their players focused.

Table-topping DK are without a game this week after recording their ninth win and maintaining their 100 per cent record with a clinical 33-7 victory at Whitchurch.

Joint boss Neil Shillingford says it is important they do not let their concentration slip on the week off.

He said: “We are on a great run and it’s vital we just keep doing what we are doing.

“We’ll be organising some big training sessions to keep the boys focused.

“Though we are top the league is still very tight and we have to make sure we don’t come out of this break flat and undo all our hard work.”

DK dominated the game at Whitchurch, running in five tries as their pack proved too strong for the home side’s young players.

The result saw DK’s lead at the top of Midlands One West stay at three points, after Sutton Coldfield’s 27-20 win over Stratford.

Shillingford added: “It was exactly what we wanted, a very clinical performances.

“We pretty much controlled the game from start to finish, there was very little to pick up on in terms of negativity.”
