CHILDREN can go searching for Santa in a magical underground world in the illuminated Dudley caverns.

Dudley Canal Trust is hosting the trips every half a hour over the next two weekends - 11, 12 and 18 and 19.

During the trip families will travel by barge into the decorated caverns to watch the pantomime Cinderella being performed in the Singing Cavern.

Children can join in the laughter and singing with Cinderella and Buttons as they try and get to Santa's Christmas ball, before the boat continues through the sparkling tunnels in the search for Santa travelling into his magical workshop, complete with snow, Christmas trees and a toyshop.

The trip lasts over an hour and visitors should use the Canal Trust's Birmingham New Road entrance - not the Black Country Living Museum.

Tickets cost £9.20 per person, which includes a gift for every child and a mince pie and drink for the adults.

To book tickets contact 01384 236275 or visit dudleycanaltrust.org.uk.

Tickets are also available from the Blowers Green Pumphouse in Peartree Lane, Dudley.

Participants are advised to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their departure time and to wear warm waterproof clothing as the boats are open.
