Police at the scene where a body was discovered in Prestwood today
POLICE have found a body in the canal at Prestwood near Kinver this morning (Tuesday May 24).
Cops have been at the scene off Preswtood Drive since around 9.30am - and a body was recovered from the Staffordshire and Worcester Canal shortly before 12.30pm.
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: “Staffordshire Police officers have attended the canal near Prestwood Drive following the discovery of a man’s body in the water.
“At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained and the man is yet to be formally identified.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 0300 1234455.”
