A SCI-FI bad guy landed at Stourbridge Library on Saturday to help young bookworms develop their reading skills.
The Dr Who villain called at the Crown Centre on Saturday (July 30) as part of the annual national summer reading challenge for children aged from four to 11.
The challenge aims to help youngsters improve and maintain their reading skills during the summer holidays by encouraging them to read six books before Sunday September 11.
Challenge events during the holidays at borough libraries will include craft activities where children will be able to make items including clown puppets, masks, magician’s hats and wands.
Little readers who complete the challenge will be awarded certificates and medals and will be in with a chance to win prizes such as free passes to Monkey Forest and tickets to Laser Quest.
