A WORDSLEY charity which helps youngsters with special needs has scored a donation of toys from kind-hearted young football players.

Members of Kingsley Olympic Football Teams, based at The Source in Wordsley, handed over the items to Wordsley’s Phoenix Mobile Toy Library which loans toys to children across the borough with learning disabilities.

Mark Guy, chairman of Kingsley Olympic, said: "We are delighted to be able to make this donation to Phoenix Toy Mobile Library, we hope we can continue to grow this partnership over the coming years."

Kingsley Olympic formed in 2005 with just one team but the club now boasts six teams for youngsters aged six to 15 plus a mini-kickers section which introduces boys and girls aged four to six to the fun of football.

The Phoenix Mobile Toy Library is the oldest of its kind in the country and is run entirely by volunteers.
