YOUNG Black Country performers couldn't believe their luck when they met the stars of hit musical Hairspray when it stopped off in Birmingham.
Izzy Westley-Smith, Isabelle Ferrara and Kiera Hyde, who are members of theatre group The Young Ones, went to see the show at Birmingham Hippodrome as they are currently in rehearsals for their very own production of Hairspray which will run at Netherton Arts Centre in February 2018.
And after watching the professional production on Monday evening - they were overjoyed to meet stars Rebecca Mendoza, who plays Tracy Turnblad, and Edward Chitticks, who plays Link Larkin.
The Young Ones' production of Hairspray will run from February 14 to 17 2018 and will feature Izzy Westley-Smith, aged 14, from Stourbridge, as Penny Pingleton, Isabelle Ferrara, aged 13, from Wombourne, as Little Inez and Kiera Hyde, aged 15, from Tipton, as Prudy Pingleton.
Tickets for the show at the NAC, based in Northfield Road, Netherton, can be booked by calling the box office on 01384 895266.
