BOROUGH businesses are being urged to dig deep to allow local vulnerable and disabled children and their families to see a world-class circus show for free.

Circus Starr, a Cheshire based not-for-profit organisation that puts shows for disadvantaged youngsters, will return to Dudley for two performances at the Brierley Hill Civic Hall, Bank Street, on Wednesday January 22.

The all-human entertainment extravaganza sees Peanuts the Clown back by popular demand along with some classic circus favourites including spellbinding hula-hoopers, mesmerising jugglers, mind-blowing illusionists and a human slinky.

Over the past few months, local businesses have been buying tickets to the show as part of Circus Starr’s unique donated ticket programme.

The purchased tickets have already been donated to a wide range of the borough's children’s services, schools and community groups but there are still some up for grabs.

Any funds left over will be donated to Compton Hospice in Wolverhampton.

Neville Wilson, director of Circus Starr, said: "We are always stunned by the fantastic support we receive from Dudley businesses and the warm welcome we are given from the entire community each year. We are very much looking forward to hosting our variety show here."

He added: "Circus Starr welcomes any donation, big or small. What matters is that every donation goes to create a memory that lasts a life-time. Just £15 buys a ticket that will enable a vulnerable, sick or disabled child to leave their worries outside and let the magic of our wonderful show draw them in."

Any business wishing to make a donation, should call Circus Starr directly on 01260 288690.
