A RENOWNED Oxford Professor of Chinese studies will be visiting Old Swinford Hospital, Stourbridge, tomorrow (Friday March 7).
Professor Barend J ter Haar will deliver his Run Run Shaw lecture - giving an insight into Chinese culture, its history, language and identity - from 6.30pm to 8pm.
The lecture, which is open to the public, will close the programme of events for Mandarin Enrichment Day at the Heath Lane school.
During the day students will be exploring what it is like to be a teenager in China β learning about home life, school, culture and social life. They will also look at the geography of the country, what itβs like to travel around China, how the country varies from region to region β and students will also have chance to learn more about the language.
Seats can be reserved for the lecture by calling Old Swinford Hospital on 01384 817300.
