The following appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court between June 23 and 27:

Stephen John Whitehouse, aged 37, of Wallows Road, Brierley Hill, was discharged conditionally for two years for possessing cannabis in Brierley Hill on February 25 and June 4. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £85 court costs.

Carl Andrew Donnelly, aged 30, of Boundary Hill, Lower Gornal, was fined £165 for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause a police officer harassment, alarm or distress on June 7. The offence was religiously aggravated. He was ordered to pay compensation of £50, a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Julie Ann Tart, aged 31, of Wallows Road, Brierley Hill, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for possessing amphetamine in Brierley Hill on February 25. She was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 court costs.

John Joseph McCann, aged 68, of Hagley Road, Halesowen, was fined £200 for failing to stop after a car accident in Halesowen on October 26, last year. He was given five penalty points and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Michael Cuneen, aged 67, of Bryce Road, Pensnett, was sent to prison for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months, for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with the intention of making a person believe violence would be used against them, in Pensnett on May 10. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £80 and £85 court costs.

Zaid Naeem, aged 23, of Wellington Road, Dudley, was fined £146 for driving without a licence or insurance in Dudley on June 5. He was given six penalty points and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Asa Paul Cartwright, aged 27, of Goldencross Way, Brierley Hill, was £150 for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with the intent to cause a person harassment, alarm or distress, in Amblecote on April 8, while subject to a suspended sentence. He was ordered to pay compensation, a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Geoffrey John Hickman, aged 51, of Swan Lane, Wordsley, was fined £70 for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress, in Wordsley on April 1. The offence was racially aggravated. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Ian Kevin Titley, aged 38, of High Street, Lye, was discharged conditionally for nine months for stealing groceries, worth £47.50, from Iceland, Halesowen, on April 1. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £85.

Peter Anthony Highway, aged 60, of The Broadway, Norton, was fined £120 for pursuing a course of conduct that amounted to the harassment of a man in Stourbridge between October 4 and November 1. He was also fined £400 for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause a person to believe immediate violence would be used against them and assaulting a police officer in the execution of duty in Stourbridge on February 14. He was ordered to pay compensation of £100, a victim surcharge of £20 and £675 court costs.

Benjamin Paul Mosses, aged 22, of Blaze Hill Road, Kingswinford, was sent to prison for 14 weeks, suspended for 18 months, for driving while disqualified and without insurance, in Brierley Hill on May 22. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months, ordered to carry out 50 hours of unpaid work, pay a victim surcharge of £80 and £85 court costs.

Anthony Craig Mellor, aged 34, of Abbey Road, Colley Gate, was fined £180, for possessing cannabis in Lye on September 19. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Ray Foster, aged 44, of Church Hill, Brierley Hill, was given a 12 month community order for assaulting a woman in Brierley Hill on January 21. He was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work, pay compensation of £100, a victim surcharge of £60 and £650 court costs.

Malcolm Melvin, aged 19, of Meon Rise, Pedmore, was fined £100 for assaulting a woman in Dudley on May 5. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £160 court costs.

Angela Green, aged 56, of Viewfield Crescent, Dudley, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for assaulting a man and threatening to slash his car tyres with a knife, in Sedgley on June 6. She was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 court costs.

Mark Hoban, aged 35, of Coleford Close, Wordsley, was given a 12 month community order for assaulting a woman in Wordsley on February 15. He was ordered to carry out 200 hours unpaid work, pay a victim surcharge of £60 and £650 court costs.

Mark Andrew Rollason, aged 29, of Quarry Brow, Upper Gornal, was sent to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for stealing goods from Sainsbury’s and Tesco supermarkets on February 19, April 28 and May 2. He was ordered to pay compensation of £110, a victim surcharge of £80 and £85 court costs.

Caroline Helen Taylor, aged 33, of Murcroft Road, Wollescote, was discharged conditionally for six months for driving without due care and attention in Dudley on September 9. She was given six penalty points, ordered to pay compensation of £50, a victim surcharge of £15 and £100 court costs.

Gail Simpson, aged 61, of Ambleside Way, Kingswinford, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for being drunk and disorderly in Brierley Hill on June 13. She was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 court costs.
