RSPCA on the search for young Animal Champions in the Black Country

First published in Local

BLACK Country youngsters can enjoy a summer full of exciting activities by becoming an Animal Champion for the RSPCA.

The free scheme, launched by the animal welfare charity, will give children and their parents fun and interactive things to do during the school holidays.

Activities include inviting friends over for an animal themed sleepover, doing some animal detective work around the home, planting a butterfly garden and designing artwork for one of the  RSPCA's vans.

Any child aged between six and 12 can become an Animal Champion and those who sign up will receive a toolkit containing stickers and posters.

Children who complete all five activities, including one small fundraising challenge, before the end of the school holidays will receive a certificate and award from the RSPCA.
