AWARD-winning Enville Street Dramatic Society is presenting Noel Coward’s romantic drama Brief Encounter later this month.

Adapted for the stage by Emma Rice from the play Still Life and the screenplay of Brief Encounter - the poignant romance will run at Amblecote Holy Trinity Church Hall from April 29 to May 2.

Chrissie Thomas and David Lavendar star as Ill-fated Laura Jesson and Alex Harvey who meet and fall in love at a railway station cafe.

Carey Esthop, Lee Morgan-Salcombe, Tom Dallaway, Jamie Picken and new member Anneka Johnson are the supporting cast members.

The society's November 2014 play Ghost Writer has been nominated for Best Play in West Midlands Region Area 8 (The Black Country) and the society will be attending the National Operatic and Dramatic Awards Ceremony on April 19 to find out if it has won.
