FRIENDS are set to put on one last dance to remember tragic Stourbridge drum and bass DJ Adam Tombs.

High Voltage promoter Adam, known as DJ Toomz, died in his sleep while at his girlfriend Kim Parton’s house in Frankley, near Birmingham, on April 15, aged just 31.

As a tribute to the the much-loved DJ who presented his popular underground drum and bass nights at venues around Stourbridge - close friends are putting on what will be the last-ever High Voltage club night at The Bell in Market Street on Friday June 30.

The event, 'High Voltage - Toomz's Last Dance', will feature three arenas and more than 50 local artists playing drum and bass, speed garage and old school tunes - including DJs Dialogue, Escape, Gold Dubs, Filthy Habits, The Force, Looney, Midknight, Big Love, Raw Theory and many more.

Friend and organiser Ashley Lamb said: "The line-up is strong and diverse to give Adam the ultimate send-off."

Established in 2005, High Voltage became one of the most popular underground drum and bass events to be held in Stourbridge - with Adam, a car mechanic who lived in Cathcart Road, presenting regular nights at venues including the Arena, Moochers and the Fitness Factory.

Money taken on the door at the tribute night will go to The British Heart Foundation.

Doors open at 9pm. Admission is £3 before 11pm and £5 after.

Organisers recommend people arrive early as the venue is expected to reach full capacity.
