STOURBRIDGE will be laughing for a good cause this week as the town’s ‘a comedy theatre group’ host a charity comedy evening.
All proceeds from the group’s ‘some sketches wot we wrote’ show – which is set to take place on Saturday (September 16) – will be donated to local cause Lesley's Care Packages for the Homeless.
Starting at 7.30pm at St Thomas’s Church Hall in Market Street, the show will support the volunteer team continue their work in helping the homeless and others facing difficult times across the Black Country.
Phill Liptrot, company director, said: “The sketches are all written, directed and performed by local talented performers who are giving their time for free to raise a few laughs and a few quid, so come support local and have a giggle.”
Tickets cost £5 each and are available by calling 01384 824766 or 07954692593, or emailing acomedytheatregroup@hotmail.co.uk.
They can be collected from the Fair and Square shop in Market Street, Stourbridge.
