AN ambitious young theatre company will be bringing to life the adventurous true tale of the coming of age of one of Britain's greatest heroes at Amblecote's Glasshouse Arts Centre.

The play, Winston on The Run, sees escaped prisoner of war Winston Churchill lost in the African savannah, wanted dead or alive and hounded by the scathing words of his dead father.

Theatre company Fol Espoir, which dedicates itself to new writing and devised creations, is staging the production on Friday October 18 at 7.30pm.

The show premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2012 and has received a host of rave reviews.

Tickets cost £8 (£6 concessions). To book call 01384 399430 or email theatre@ghc.rmt.org
