FOUR Amblecote neighbours will be celebrating today after their postcode was announced as the People’s Postcode Lottery daily prize winner.
The postcode DY8 5XH, belonging to four lottery playing residents of Marlbank Road, was randomly chosen in the daily draw this morning (Tuesday, September 6).
As reward for their addresses being drawn out, the lucky group of neighbours have scooped £1,000 for every ticket played.
When people sign up to play People’s Postcode Lottery a minimum of 30 per cent goes directly to charities and since starting in 2005, players have raised more than £135 million for good causes.
Among the donations included £9,124 given to Home Start Dudley, which was given money for its over 5’s project which provides a support service to vulnerable families with at least one child under the age of five-years-old, and Kidderminster’s Museum of Carpet which received £3,424.
