WEEKLY fitness sessions for the over 50s who are looking to stay healthy, energetic and independent as they get older are being held at in Amblecote.
Instructor Tarn Felton hosts her ‘young at heart’ fitness classes every Monday from 10am at Oakfield Community Centre, in Brettell Lane.
The fun, friendly and adaptable hour-long sessions are suited to those of all levels of fitness.
Tarn said: “Remaining active is so important if you want to stay healthy. Physical exercise can help reduce aches and pains, give increased energy and maintain independence and quality of life.
“There’s strong evidence that people who are active have a lower risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, some cancers, depression and dementia.
“So come along and join in, make some friends and maintain your fitness, mobility and health.”
