A KINGSWINFORD school has won £1,000 after pupils impressed judges at a Christmas choir competition at Merry Hill.
Glynne Primary School youngsters received the Judges' Award at the Little Voices final, held on December 5.
The competition, now in its 14th year, encourages schools from across the region to sing their hearts out for the chance to win cash prizes.
The vocal group, made up of 13 boys, aged between seven and 11, performed three songs including Let It Go from Frozen.
Music teacher Carol Reece said: "We only started the boys vocal group a year ago to encourage them to sing, as for some reason they wouldn't join the choir.
"They have worked really hard and have been practicing after school and at lunchtime."
Headteacher Sue Cameron said the prize money would be spent on music resources and added: "We are all absolutely delighted. I'm so proud of the boys, they have done a super job."
