On December 5 the Ladies met to enjoy their Christmas party.
Chairman Sheila Evans welcomed members and three visitors.
These were Mr and Mrs Laurence Parkes and Heather Moore.
Laurence accepted over twenty blankets and a few pairs of bedsocks for the Fistula Hospital in Addis Ababa.
He thanked the ladies for their continued support and gave a brief update on progress being made to improve the conditions of these unfortunate patients.
The articles were made by the ladies of St Michaels Church, St John’s Church, Kinver WI craft section and our own members, Joan Jones and Francis Smith.
Heather Moore gave a short talk with attractive pictures relating to her own memories of Christmas and how to make attractive decorations and recipes using simple objects.
This was a delightful way of getting all members ready for the buffet prepared by the committee and then await with baited breath, their lavish raffle prize.
Every one went home in happy mood awaiting their own festivities and wondering what 2015 will bring.
The next meeting will be at The Royal British Legion, Kingswinford on February 5 at 7.45pm. There is a delightful programme organized so all visitors and members welcome.
