The December meeting was an uproarious affair, who would have thought bingo and beetle drive could be quite so funny, I guess it depends on how seriously you take it, a glass of wine, a plate of supper combined with the rule, make a Christmas hat and wear it and away you go.

co.uk During the evening we awarded a gift of free membership , in the name of one of our founder members, and also a bursary part funded by a grant from the Kinver Country Fayre committee, then handed out our secret Santa gifts, the group in turn were presented with a beautiful gavel, in the memory of Sandra Gwillym, a dear friend and member who we lost this year. The irony of calling everyone to order, would not be lost on her.

December as we all know in Kinver, meant the Festival of Angels at St Peters, a great success, no one who visited could fail to see our Knitting Angel, she was a big girl, congratulations to everyone who took part, bring on next year.

Talking of next year, our speaker on January 12 will be Heather Wastie, with Weaving Yarns at 7.30pm. at the Senior Citizens Hall, Kinver.
