LOVERS of verse are being invited to join with like-minded folk at a Stourbridge poetry walk.
Taking place at Mary Stevens Park tomorrow (December 30), the ‘gentle’ walk will take about one and a half hours, with those wishing to take part meeting at 10am outside the café.
Suitable for all, this walk has the theme of findings and discovery, and the park’s heritage rangers will take guests for a stroll where they will hear interesting poetry as well as guiding attendees on exercises to create their own rhyme.
Deborah Merrick, senior heritage park ranger at Mary Stevens Park, said: “It’s free and you can just turn up.
“We will run whatever the weather, so wrap up and do something different – and gently burn off some mince pies whilst you are at it!”
