VISITORS to Mary Stevens Park are being asked to take part in a survey following the recently completed £3.1 million restoration programme.
Dudley Council hopes to gain feedback on the Norton park’s recent Heritage Lottery Fund investment and to see how the work has changed the way people perceive and use the park.
As part of the refurbishment, improvements were carried out to the park gates, war memorial, bandstand and Heath Pool, as well as the creation of a new cafe and toilet facilities.
To help fund the total park improvement costs, a £2.6m grant was gained from lottery funding, while a heritage ranger has since been appointed to deliver a programme of activities at the park.
Councillor Hilary Bills, cabinet member for environmental services, said: “This is a great opportunity for people who visit Mary Stevens Park to tell us about how they visit and utilise the park.
“We’re keen to gain insight into how the recent improvements may have enhanced their time there.”
People can take part in the survey online by clicking here, or by collecting a questionnaire from the park’s activity centre, before the closing date of Friday (September 2).
