PUPILS from a Pedmore primary school got a glimpse into the life of a politician as they were taken on a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament.
Ham Dingle Primary School students and staff were welcomed for a tour of the palace, as well as a visit to Parliament’s new education centre, by Stourbridge MP Margot James.
Ms James met with the year six pupils where she participated in a question and answer session. Pupils asked her about her role as a Conservative whip, and what inspired her to want to become an MP.
The students were then treated to a tour of Parliament, along with sessions about the law making process given by staff at the education centre.
Ms James said: “I really enjoyed meeting the pupils from Ham Dingle. They asked me lots of interesting questions and I know they enjoyed their time learning about democracy and laws in Parliament’s new education centre.”
