GENEROUS Rotarians have donated more than £20,000 to good causes in the Black Country this year.

Mary Stevens Hospice in Oldswinford and Stourbridge's Glasshouse College both received several thousands from the Rotary Club of Stourbridge.

Other local organisations to benefit from the club's goodwill included Dudley Young Carers, based in Stourbridge, Living Springs in Stourton and Stourbridge in Bloom.

Members raised funds through a variety of events and activities in the borough and will continue the good work with a collection outside Tesco Extra in Stourbridge on December 20.

Rotarian John Savage said: "We are very grateful to the support received from the local community in raising these substantial sums of money."
