The club enjoyed an excellent threecourse lunch at their meeting at the Kingfisher Hotel, Wallheath when the speaker Jacqueline Smith , Nova Chocolates, brought along a lovely selection of her home made chocolates.

Samples were tasted by everyone and one brave volunteer Joy Williams joined the demonstration to make herself a sparkling lollipop.

Jacqueline had researched the history of the chocolate bean from its very beginning in 2000BC tracing its progression to 1824 when Cadburys introduced the very first selection in a box called Milk Tray and Frys made the first cream chocolate bar.

Chairman Mary Jones reminded members the speaker on April 10 would be Lisa Williams, the Life Style Editor at the Express Star and that there would be a bring and buy stall. A coach outing was being planned to Moreton in the Marsh and Bourton on the Water for members and their friends.

Meetings are held the second Friday in the month 12pm for 12.30pm. For details call the secretary on 01902 372984.
