A STOURBRIDGE woman was hit by a car on Friday (May 1) night as she crossed the road outside The Crown at Iverley.

A 32-year-old woman was reported to have been struck by the car as she made her way across Norton Road from the pub’s car park.

West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) responded at about 10.20pm to several emergency calls they received about the collision.

The ambulance service dispatched an ambulance, a paramedic support officer, a merit trauma doctor and two nurses to the scene.

The woman, who was fully conscious and breathing when the ambulance service arrived, was also assisted by a WMAS consultant who happened to be passing the incident at the time of the collision.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “The casualty suffered injuries to her right arm and was mobilised with a neck collar and spinal board, before being taken to Russells Hall Hospital.”
