STOURBRIDGE brothers Dave and Adam Henderson will be tackling the Birmingham Half Marathon next month in memory of their elder brother Toby who died last year.

They will be running on behalf of CALM which stands for the 'Campaign Against Living Miserably'.

The brothers chose the charity as Toby committed suicide when he was just 33-years-old and Dave, who is 30 and an aircraft mechanic, said: "It seemed the right thing to run for.

"Suicide is one of the biggest killers of young men in this country - which is a shocking statistic. "Toby's death came as a terrible shock to us all. We knew he was having a bit of hardship, but nobody knew how bad it was at the time."

Some of Toby's friends will be taking part in the Birmingham Half Marathon as well and Dave, who lives in Baylie Street, said: "We all mixed with the same crowd, so it's great that some of the others are joining in as well.

Adam, a 33-year-old policeman, has already competed in the Great North Run, while Dave is a complete novice at the event.

The pair have already raised more than £1,500 and anyone who would like to support them can by going to https://www.justgiving.com/TobyHenderson
