AWARD-WINNING youth and social club Happy Hours is looking to recruit a new secretary.

The club lays on activities for people and adults with learning disabilities every Tuesday evening at The Elton Centre, next to Stourbridge Fire Station.

Since Happy Hours was founded in 2008 with around 15 members, it has steadily grown and now has more than 50 members attending each week.

Last May – the club won the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service and in November members were treated to a Royal visit from Sophie, Countess of Wessex.

The club wants to hear from anyone interested in taking on secretarial duties who is able to commit to volunteering for two to three hours each week.

Applicants need basic computer skills and to be able to attend the club most weeks. To find out more contact club chairman Johnny Fowkes on 07761 210214 or email johnfowkes@btinternet.com
