BLACK Country Radio is again aiming to bring politics to the people with an on-air hustings event based around the EU referendum.
The station, which hosted a live hustings event ahead of the 2015 General Election, is holding a live debate with representatives from both the leave and remain campaigns, local politicians and undecided voters at St Johns Church, off St John’s Road, Stourbridge, from 6.30pm on Tuesday June 14.
Members of the public are invited to attend the event to grill the candidates to help them make up their minds about how they will vote on referendum day - June 23.
Alex Totney, the station's CEO, said: “There’s been a lot of discussion on TV that descends into the two groups throwing around facts and figures that are then pulled apart by their opposition.
“We want to give the public the chance to really get under the panel's skin, ask questions and make their mind up once and for all."
The event will be broadcast live on 102.5 FM, DAB across Birmingham and streamed online at blackcountryradio.co.uk - and the station will also be tweeting during the evening using the hashtag #BCRBrexit.
Refreshments will be available and the event is free but tickets should be booked in advance online at blackcountryradio.co.uk/brexit
