GREEN-FINGERED Stourbridge gardening celebrity Adam Greathead is set to open his Stambermill garden to the public again tomorrow (Sunday July 10).

Visitors will be able to admire his spectacular range of plants, bedding displays and additional features which have proved so popular on previous open days.

Adam opened his Stourbridge Road garden in April, attracting around 125 visitors and raising £950 for the Dudley Mind Growing in the Park charity project.

He said: "The garden has advanced considerably since April and all the bedding displays have been changed.

"I've received bookings from a number of gardening clubs wishing to come and visit this time."

Adam became the youngest ever chairman of Wollaston Gardeners Guild two years ago when he was just 24-years-old.

Since then, Adam's reputation has skyrocketed and he now travels the country giving talks and lectures to gardening clubs and societies.

He admitted: "A few years ago, I would never have dreamed that I would be able to get up and give talks - I just wouldn't have had the confidence to talk in public. Now I just love it!

"I've already been booked up to give six talks next year."

Adam has also recently been appointed as head gardener to John Massey MBE of Ashwood Nurseries.

His 'Duckpools' garden on Stourbridge Road, Stambermill will be open from 1pm until 4pm on Sunday July 10 and car parking is available opposite Alan's Hairdressers.
