TWO Stourbridge OCD sufferers have set up a support group to help people discuss the condition and share advice.
Jonathan Hawthorne, aged 45, and Kirsty Stewart, aged 30, decided to set up the group, called New Horizon, to provide emotional support and a place for people to discuss the condition, known as obsessive compulsive disorder, which is blamed for excessive checking, intrusive thoughts, hoarding and other obsessive behaviour.
Jonathan, who has suffered with OCD since he was 19, said: "We are non-judgemental and a non-profit support group which we feel will benefit the local community in the Stourbridge area and will give fellow OCD sufferers a comfortable place and environment to talk about their experiences with OCD."
The group's next meeting will be on Wednesday January 25 - from 7pm until 9pm - and it will run every fortnightly thereafter on Wednesdays.
