WORDSLEY Post Office customers and staff helped to make a difference to children in need across the country at a recent fundraising event day.
The Wordsley Green branch raised about £250 throughout the day for NSPCC – the company’s chosen charity – by selling cakes, holding a raffle and tombola, and even cycling for eight hours.
A bike was provided to the store for the day from Pure Gym, and two members of staff took turns in cycling for the entire day.
Toni Worker, who took part in the cycling challenge, said: “It was a great day, even though it was bit painful!
“We alternated on the bike but even thought it sometimes hurt, overall the day was very enjoyable.
“All the prizes we were donated by local shops and businesses, and most of the cakes we made were gone by the end, so we were all really pleased.”
