A WORCESTER school has been praised for its internationalism.
Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College was given the British Council International School Award-Foundation level for demonstrating an excellent start in promoting the international dimensions across the college and highlighting the benefits of learning in a global context.
The college is involved in cultural and sporting visits overseas, pilgrimage and students’ exchange with schools in Germany and Poland.
The work to gain the British Council International Award has been spearheaded by Lindsay Jones, who is the college’s International co-ordinator.
Principal, Sean Devlin said: “It is pleasing to see her efforts and those of our students recognised.
"We live in a global ever smaller world of communications and hopefully friendships."
