I am 10 years old and I have a passion for wildlife.
Last week, I was in the car with my mum and we were driving along Wassell Grove Lane.
This is one of the few local areas with lots of wildlife. It supports many hedgerow birds and even birds of prey, such as kestrels and buzzards. I was very sad to see the hedge being pulled down.
This is an important place for birds and other small mammals. We need to think carefully before doing things like this, as Wassell Grove Lane is one of the last places which supports such varied wildlife near my house in Lye.
Seeing wildlife makes me happy and we need to protect it before it all goes.
