YOUNGSTERS at Brindley Heath Junior School in Kinver were treated to top footballing tips as part of a week devoted to health and fitness.
Sheffield United fitness manager David Morrison, who has close links with the village, stopped off at the school at Potters Cross on Monday June 18 to showcase a few moves and techniques to children in year six.
Kids at the school also learned about healthy eating, fire safety, martial arts and a variety of other health and safety related topics during the week.
The school also staged its own marathon ahead of the forthcoming London 2012 Olympic Games, with all 227 pupils running 180 metres each - to equal a total distance of 26 miles.
Class teacher Joe Hartshorn said: “We wanted to encourage kids to get into the spirit of the Olympic Games that are coming up and they’ve thoroughly enjoyed it.”
