The over 30’s Division recommenced with last year’s runners up HC Rangers completing a well deserved 4-1 victory over MNF All Stars Veterans who took an early lead through Alex Fletcher and then missed a penalty. Ben Wilkins scored in the 43rd minute to equalise before Adam Hill put H.C. 2-1 up early in the second half. Ben Wilkins hit his second with Dave Kennedy scoring in the 77th minute to cement the points.

New team Warstones Old Boys comfortably beat ISSA Casuals Veterans in the same division with goals from Ryan Bradshaw 2, Jermaine McParlan, Ashley Southall and Tony Russell.

In the Open Age Division Sedgley & Gornal Utd and Trysull played out a pulsating 4-4 draw of which Manager Rob Hobson commented “It was a really great game of high quality football played in the right spirit”.

Trysull FC went 2-0 up before Sedgley & Gornal pulled it back to take a 3-2 HT lead through Ed Tomkins 2 and Callum O’Connell. Trysull bounced back to lead 4-3 before Sedgley & Gornal’s Spencer Elcock drove home a last minute equaliser, Jack Morgan hit a well deserved hat trick for Trysull with Jack Bowater completing their scoring.

AFC Goldthorne bounced back from their opening day defeat by Brandhall giving Delph Runners a lesson in finishing running out comfortable 9-1 victors. Greg Corbett opened the scoring on 6 minutes with Mark Webster and Lloyd Sawyers making it 3-0 at half time. Webster completed his hat trick during the second half with Wayne Marsh, Tahi Markland and goalkeeper Dan Lynex netting the 9th goal with a well taken penalty. Nathan Parkes grabbed a consolation goal for Delph. Mark Woods, Goldthorne Secretary complimented Delph on not giving up and giving it their all in a fine game of football.

Wombourne Athletic found new team CT Rangers easy pickings in their season’s opener running out 15-1 winners. Harry Lomas led the way with 8, Owen Massey notched a hat trick with singles by Harry Meredith, Callum Kearney, Elliot Garvey and Jack Shepherd to complete the scoring.

In the Staffs Challenge Cup Warstones Wanderers GG put Crystal Fountain Firsts from the Cannock area to the sword running out 18-0 winners with strikes from Regan Wardell 7, Rodney Williams 4, Issac Meggo 3, Ashley Lawrence 2 and singles from Ashley Brown and Zachary Jackson.
