GLASSBOYS chairman Andy Pountney praised the massed ranks of supporters who followed the team to Stevenage last Saturday.

The club were backed by an 800 plus travelling army of fans who shouted the side on from start to finish.

Pountney claimed: "Everyone at the club would like to thank them for their fantastic support. It was much appreciated by the players, management and staff.

"I especially enjoyed some of their gallows humour. Some of it was a bit choice and quite humourous , but we were delighted with the support - it was great!

"I did think 4-0 flattered Stevenage, but we certainly gave it a go and tried to play good football.

"I've had a great deal of feedback from supporters, some telling me they enjoyed it more than Plymouth Argyle. Let's have a few more days like it.

"I'm especially delighted with the number of new season ticket holders we've obtained. We want people to come along to Stourbridge and enjoy the experience".

Sadly, Stourbridge have been reported to the FA following a couple of isolated incidents which took place and Pountney confirmed: "We've already had a letter from the FA asking us to answer certain issues, whether we'll get in trouble for this, I don't know. Supporters have to realise there are certain things they cannot do at games.

"I've got no problems with the behaviour of our supporters, there was no trouble and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

"I just hope some of those supporters who came to Stevenage will continue to stick with us".
